Haiku poetry is a Japanese form of poetry. It is 3 lines long and must only use 17 syllables, using the pattern 5 - 7 - 5.
Traditionally, haikus use imagery of nature but, these days, can be about any subject.
Our haikus were written for the 'Crich Standard' magazine, describing what a wonderful place we live in! Unfortunately, they could not all be published so are being published here instead.
