Harry Potter Night 4th February 2016

On Thursday 4th February Crich Carr had its very first school sleepover. It was planned to coincide with Harry Potter night. The children and staff came in Harry Potter fancy dress ready for the sorting hat ceremony where they were put into Hogwart's houses. This was folowed by a banquet and many exciting Harry Potter themed activities. The evening was rounded off by watching part of the film. At bedtime the children settled down to sleep on the classroom floor ready for a story. The children behaved brilliantly throughout - it was truly a magical evening!

Thursday March 6th was World Book Day. To celebrate, we asked the children to bring in their favourite book past or present. The children chatted enthsiastically about their book choices throughout the day and we had a chance to share some of the books with the rest of the school. We also had an inter-house book quiz which was won by Holly (red) house. The whole school did activities based around the book 'The day the crayons quit' by Oliver Jeffers. The junior children had their pictures taken with their favourite book.
